1. Whatcom County Real Property 2021 Tax Deferral for Businesses
Effective April 16, 2021, businesses who own real property primarily used for business may be eligible for a property tax deferral up to December 31, 2021. To be eligible, the business must be able to demonstrate a loss of at least 25% of gross revenue for calendar year 2020 compared to calendar year 2019. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2021.
2. SBA released guidelines for Restaurant Revitalization Fund
The Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) was established by the American Rescue Plan Act and offers funding to restaurants and other eligible businesses. The SBA recently released guidelines for this fund and will be announcing the opening date soon.
