What's New
WA Cares Fund gets an 18-month delay
Two House Bills passed in January that pushes back the start of the WA Cares Fund to July 1, 2023, makes some changes to rules regarding workers close to retirement age, and establishes voluntary exemptions for certain populations. Learn more here.
Major Disaster Declaration for Washington
FEMA is offering federal disaster assistance for residents and business owners affected by the flooding and mudslides from Nov. 13-15, 2021 in Whatcom, Skagit, and Clallam County as well as the Lumni Nation, Nooksack Indian Tribe, and Quileute Tribe. Learn more here.
Federal Disaster Loan Available
The SBA is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to businesses and residents who were affected by the November 2021 floods. Businesses may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets. Learn more here.
